Frequently Asked Questions

Check out the FAQs below to find the answers you need.

  • Soft Breach: If this rule is violated, all affected trades will be closed. However, you are allowed to continue trading in your Assessment or Funded Account.
  • Hard Breach: A hard breach occurs when you break critical rules such as the Daily Loss Limit or Maximum Drawdown. These violations lead to an automatic failure of your Assessment or the termination of your Funded Account.

The Daily Loss Limit is the maximum amount your account can lose in a single day. It is calculated based on the previous day’s account balance and resets daily at 5 PM EST.

Example:

  • Previous day’s balance (5 PM EST): $50,000
  • Maximum loss allowed: $2,500
  • If your floating equity is +$3,000, your daily loss limit is still based on the prior balance of $50,000. This means your account must not drop below $47,500 to stay within the limit.

The Maximum Drawdown is fixed at 6% of your starting balance and does not adjust.

Example:

  • Starting balance: $50,000
  • Maximum drawdown: $47,000
  • Even if your closed balance increases to $52,000, the drawdown remains locked at $47,000.
